Container Delivery in Utah

How we deliver shipping containers throughout Utah — what it costs, how it works, and how to prepare your site. With our depot in Salt Lake City, Utah buyers get some of the fastest and most affordable delivery in the region.

How Container Delivery Works

When you buy a shipping container, it has to get from the depot to your property. We deliver using a tilt-bed trailer — the container rides on the flatbed and slides off the back directly onto the ground at your location. No crane needed, no heavy equipment rental. The trailer tilts and the container slides into place.

It's the most common delivery method for ground-level placement and the most cost-effective for residential, farm, and commercial properties across Utah.

Utah's Depot Advantage

Our primary container depot is located in Salt Lake City — which means Utah buyers are closer to inventory than almost anyone else in our service area. Shorter haul distances translate directly into lower delivery costs and faster scheduling compared to customers in Idaho, Wyoming, or Montana.

🚚 Local Driver in the Salt Lake Area

We have a driver based in the Salt Lake City area handling Utah deliveries. That means local knowledge, faster scheduling, and someone who knows the roads — not a random third-party carrier. You deal with us start to finish.

How to Prepare Your Delivery Site

Getting a container delivered is straightforward, but a little site prep goes a long way. Here's what to have ready before delivery day.

Level ground. The container needs to sit on a flat, firm surface. Gravel, compacted dirt, concrete, or asphalt all work. Soft, muddy, or sloped ground can cause problems — the container may settle unevenly or the delivery truck can get stuck.
Clear access path. The delivery truck and trailer is about 65–70 feet long and needs a straight run to slide the container off the back. Minimum 12 feet wide and 14 feet of overhead clearance. Watch for low power lines, tight gates, and narrow driveways.
Know your placement. Decide exactly where the container goes before the truck arrives. Once it's on the ground, moving it requires equipment. Think about door access — you'll want the doors facing the direction you'll approach from most often.
Someone on site. An adult needs to be present to confirm placement and sign for delivery. This is also when you'll do a walk-around inspection of the container.
Supports (optional but recommended). Placing railroad ties, concrete blocks, or treated lumber under the four corners keeps the container off the ground, improves drainage, and helps keep the floor dry long-term. Not required, but we recommend it.

Utah Clay Soil Warning

Much of the Wasatch Front sits on expansive clay soil that becomes extremely soft and slippery when wet. If your property has clay soil and it's been raining — or if you're near a flood-irrigated area — let us know before delivery day. Laying gravel or road base in advance solves this completely and protects your investment long-term.

The Delivery Process Step by Step

Choose your container and request a quote

Browse our inventory, select a container, and submit a quote request. We'll confirm availability, finalize pricing, and collect delivery details including your exact placement location and zip code.

Schedule delivery

Once payment is confirmed, we schedule delivery — typically within 3–7 business days. Our Salt Lake area driver will give you a delivery window and call ahead with an ETA on the day of delivery.

Container arrives

The driver backs the tilt-bed trailer into position and slides the container off onto your prepared surface. The whole unloading process takes about 10–15 minutes. You'll walk around the container to confirm condition before signing off.

You're set

The container is yours. Lock it up, load it up, or start your project. If anything isn't right, call us — we stand behind every sale.

💰 Payment on Delivery — Not Upfront

We don't require full payment before your container ships. Payment is due on delivery, after you've inspected the container and approved it in person. In some cases a deposit may be required to cover trucking costs, but we'll always discuss that with you upfront — no surprises.
