Buying a shipping container isn't complicated, but knowing the basics ahead of time will save you money and prevent surprises. The four things that matter most are the price you pay, the condition you choose, the size you need, and how delivery works. We've put together a detailed guide on each one.

We keep the process straightforward. No runaround, no pressure, no upfront payment games. Here's what to expect from start to finish.
Tell Us What You Need
Reach out by phone, text, email, or through our website. Let us know the size, condition, and where you need it delivered. Don't know exactly what you need? That's fine — we'll help you figure it out.
We Find the Right Container
We search available inventory across depots in the region and find the best match closest to your location. Closer containers mean lower delivery costs for you.
Inspection & Photos Before It Ships
Every container is inspected at the depot before delivery. We send you photos for approval — so you see exactly what you're getting before it leaves the yard.
We Deliver, You Pay
We haul many deliveries ourselves with our own tilt-bed trailer. You don't pay until the container arrives at your property — no upfront payment required.
No Upfront Payment Required
We don't ask for payment until your container is delivered. A deposit is sometimes required for trucking on longer hauls, but the container itself is paid for on delivery. We believe you should see what you're getting before you pay for it.
Common Questions
No. Payment is due on delivery. A trucking deposit is sometimes required on longer-distance deliveries, but the container itself is paid for when it arrives at your property.
Every container is inspected at the depot before it ships. We send you photos for approval so you can see the exact unit you're getting. If you don't like what you see, we find you a different one.
Cargo Worthy containers are structurally sound with good floors, working doors, and no holes — suitable for storage and most uses. Wind & Water Tight containers keep weather out but may have more cosmetic wear, surface rust, or minor dents. Our full breakdown is in the Container Conditions guide.
If you're not sure, the 40ft High Cube is the most popular choice — it gives you the most space per dollar. But a 20ft works great if you have limited room or lighter storage needs. See our Size Comparison guide for detailed dimensions.
It depends on the distance from the nearest depot to your location. We always source from the closest available depot to keep your cost down. Enter your zip code on our inventory page for an instant delivery estimate, or check our Delivery guide for Idaho city estimates.
We cover Idaho, Northern Utah, Western Wyoming, and parts of the surrounding region — roughly a 500-mile radius from Salt Lake City. If you're not sure whether we deliver to your area, just ask.
